The Bombay High Court has reportedly ordered the removal of alleged AI-generated deepfakes and morphed digital content linked to actor Preity Zinta, marking a significant legal development in a closely watched personality rights case.
The matter stems from Zinta’s move against online misuse of her identity, with reports saying she sought court protection against unauthorised videos, manipulated images and other digital material circulating on internet platforms.
Earlier proceedings indicated that the court had asked parties to work on a practical mechanism for taking down unlawful content without affecting legitimate material, underlining the complexity of online enforcement in such cases.
